Job Descriptions:

 

Technical/Functional Skills:

 

·         App DNA, Install Shield, App V5, ACT, SCCM

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

·         Performing Tech review, documenting the external devices/ pre-requisites and source review as per the installation documents provided.

·         According to the tech review, categorizing the application category & providing the SLA

·         Performing compatibility testing using AppDNA for the client specific environments.

·         Working for high priority applications (scripting using Installshield to UAT using SCCM) to turn around and virtualizing the apps using AppV5 using Microsoft AppV Sequencer build.

·         Virtualizing the applications by excluding the drivers as a separate package.

·         Implementing shims using ACT, to make the application compatible with the different environments & pass the files through CustomActions table in AdminStudio.

·         Creating silent installs for standardised and 'locked down' environments and using Installsheild, modifying Windows Registry, File System, Services, Devices, DSN(ODBC) configurations, user profile settings.

·         Preparing custom actions by using VB Scripts according to the use specific requirement.

·         Working on Batch files to migrate them to VB Scripts, worked on registry to debug the invalid entries, converted win install packages to MSI format.

·         Utilize Lotus Same time remote access and Remedy to work with network users and remediate tickets against build releases.

·         Responsible for troubleshooting technical issues and ensure speedy turnaround of packages.

·         Retrieving data by using SQL queries for the DB related applications.

·         Creation of applications in SCCM under software distribution.

·         Performing unit testing on Win 7 & UAT on Citrix environments with the user.

·         Troubleshooting the issues raised during AppV or Citrix installation & contacting Vendor for an unknown issue.

·         Involving in daily SCRUM calls for the current & future releases with the team.

·         Creation of Install Packets & ensure the availability for Release Management team.
