Overview

The team is chartered to migrate an existing system (Magento ecommerce on top of SAP backend services) onto our global dotcom platform.

 

Duties

•         You'll be integrating and extending applications to help bridge a transformation gap.

•         You'll be expected to evaluate and recommend technical approaches to meet business needs.

•         Overall knowledge of designing an application to run on a scalable platform is expected.

•         You will be working in an agile environment, which means test-driven development with a focus on delivering working software for stakeholders.

•         85% of the time developing software

•         15% Iteration Planning, Retrospectives, Showcases, Design Sessions, Requirements review, etc.

 

Required

•         At least five years of relevant systems software engineering experience

•         BS/MS in computer science or engineering (or equivalent professional experience)

•         Experience with large-scale distributed systems and web oriented architectures

•         Developing Spring/Java/Maven applications

•         High comfort level with UNIX OS

 

Preferred

•         Experience as a Technical Lead on a complex distributed systems project

•         Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCE, etc.)

•         Pair Programming (Social skills)

•         Test Driven Development (TDD)

•         Infrastructure Automation (Chef in particular)

•         Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit and Spock in particular)

•         Groovy, Node
