Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: Rockville, MD

Duration: 24+ Months

 

Note: Looking for local or around consultants

Prior role as TPM for a web software development team

·         Managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment

·         Managing risks, escalation, production support

·         Very clear communication, capable of talking with techies and sr management

·         Not looking for a professional consultant, "mentor", "coach"

·         Ability to provide leadership to business analysts and collaborate with customers and develop strategies and solutions of high business value and the ability to become a trusted partner with business users and executives

·         Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

·         Experience with implementing process improvements to raise the bar of software quality and delivery

Strong technical background

·         Prior experience as tech lead or architect on a software team in Java technology stack

·         Able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues

·         Understands, promotes and can easily talk to the tenants of building high quality software

Motivational leader

·         Passionate and enthusiastic personality

·         Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building

·         Promote empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace
