Weblogic Admin

Naperville, IL

18+ month/ Contract

Must be USC, GC or EAD-GC

This candidate must have excellent communication skills and be able to speak to business and technical resources alike.  They will need to be technical, however, not hands-on, but more of an lead role of making sure things are working properly.

 

Helping with updgrage project, fax server, coordinating, testing. Working on troubleshooting, patching, checking on errors.

Weblogic, middleware, understading intergration, work with code. Previous experience: very little script. i.e...looking at logs on weblogic servers, ftp a file check if it went thru/working

 

Experience in multiple system environments. Should also be experienced in designing, developing, and test applications.
* Combine multiple technologies to provide alternative physical solutions
* Understands various types of tools and technologies on the market and their appropriate usage
* Responsibilities extend to all components of an application and application environment including front, back, and middle tiers where applicable. These individuals can lead a tool evaluation effort, including the definition of the evaluation criteria, identification of tools to be evaluated, and the actual evaluation 
* Has worked on various platforms including mainframes, minis and micros
* Work will involve interacting with product vendors/suppliers

 

Must possesses excellent communication skills as they will be working directly to communicate technical language to higher level managers/executives.

 

Projects: working on 2 apps - workflow apps used by 1700 partners trading exchance globally. Install vended app. Upgrade, upgrading servers, technical, not heavy develop, work with weblogic, dba, windows people. DB is SQL server

 

Work with business partners around the globe – India, Europe

 

Hedgesystems; working on installs; SQL Server at NT, working with a different vendor

 

Weblogic Intermediate Currently 3-5 Years

SQL Intermediate Currently 3-5 Years

SQL Server Advanced Currently 6-10 Years

Unix Intermediate Within Last Year 3-5 Years

Unix Scripting Beginner Within Last Three Years 0-2 Years

Visual Intermediate Within Last Three Years 0-2 Years
