Sr Oracle DBA

10+ years of Oracle DBA

 

10+ years of Oracle DBA exp. Good skill in UNIX. Will be working on 200+ databases

 

Skills:

• Highly skilled in Oracle database administration (SME level)
• Technically skilled in Linux
• In depth troubleshooting and problem resolution skills essential
• Ability to create and manage action plans to improve the database environment and resolve issues
• Ability to plan, manage and present on proof of concept analyses and upgrade/migrations projects
• Willingness to work under high pressure, participate in 24x7 and weekend cover, share knowledge and cover deployment & maintenance tasks
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to perform oracle database architecture
• Technically skilled in performing database performance turning and enhancement
• Excellent written and spoken English

 

Experience:

• Extensive database administration experience for Oracle database up to 11gR2
• Experience of Dataguard, RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager (10g and up), Oracle Grid Control
• Experience of OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) and DSS (Decision Support Systems), Data Warehousing
• Knowledge of Exadata is desirable
• Knowledge of goldengate is desirable
• Financial experience a bonus
• Previous experience of stepping into a similar role
• Relevant Oracle qualifications

 

REQUIRED REGISTRATIONS:

 

• Needs to have good understanding of the regulatory framework in respective regions
• Needs to understand the regulations applicable to the performance of the role
• Needs to build a good working relationship with compliance and other control functions
• Role holder must have unquestioned fitness & propriety, integrity
