Position: Sr. Cognos TM1 Consultant

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: 4 Months Contract

 

Qualifications:

·         Cognos Planning & TM1 experience is desirable.

·         Provide expert Cognos knowledge and support for core modules and reports based on Planning Contributor, Framework Manager and Report Studio.

·         Embed ownership for Cognos functionality within teams such as Finance covering global as well as corporate areas of the business.

·         Develop & support expert users in the business and work with them to increase their understanding and capabilities in Cognos.

·         Perform root cause analysis and solve business pain points in this area

·         Work towards overall process improvements to ensure on-time month-end closing

·         Resolve production support issues in given areas, as well as gathering new requirements and delivering projects

·         Keep issue calls/tickets in control, provide prompt response to user queries, work with various teams to provide on-time resolution with good quality

·         Work with the core teams to introduce new working practices and improve existing.

·         Good understanding of Finance domain / concepts to aid in effective communication and resolution

·         Work with client's finance controllers to improvise overall business processes and maintain / increase user satisfaction

·         Lead and/or assist with various business / IT project / Compliance initiatives surrounding Cognos Planning
