Sr Oracle DBA

 

Responsibilities:

 

•        Writing, testing, documenting, deploying and supporting custom PL/SQL code. This is an absolute MUST and the candidate resume must demonstrate this.

•        Balancing the PL/SQL needs of multiple clients with multiple environments and multiple databases.

•        Backup and recovery of Oracle databases.

•        Working and assisting others on incident resolution.

•        Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional (OCP) strongly desired

•        Supporting a number of production, test and development databases.

•        Supporting users, application administrators and developers for PL/SQ solutions.

•        Project support including go-live weekends Requirements:

•        Bachelors degree.

•        Oracle Advanced PL/SQL Developer Certified Professional (OCP) strongly desired.

•        8-10 years of PL/SQL development experience. Experience with Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11g.

•        Oracle DBA experience, with at least 5 years as a development DBA.

•        Exceptional troubleshooting skills.

•        Very strong Database performance and SQL tuning skills Other skills not required but exposure and working knowledge desired:

•        Upgrading Oracle to new versions is a plus.

•        Installing, configuring, patching and administering of Oracle databases.

•        Working knowledge of tools for monitoring system performance, stability and capacity.

•        Backup and recovery skills.

•        Experience using Dataguard and log miner.
