Type: Contract – 6 months, can extend to 18 months

Job Description:
Candidates with good POS (Point of Sales) or ATM experience,
The client is replacing its in-house built ATM and POS transaction processing system with a more modern vendor application.
Vendor application is Core Java, runs on Linux and uses an Oracle DB.
Previous experience with ATM/POS payment or messaging systems is preferred.
Qualifications:
ü 5+ years of Java technologies.
ü Strong OOAD skills design patterns domain modeling re-factoring.
ü Senior level java server side software development source code generation (tools, concepts, issues) awareness of java community knowledge of open source projects.
ü Aware of differences between versions of java platform Experience web services (JSON).
ü Experience with SOAP (XML/HTTP) based web services.
ü Experience with build automation.
ü Experienced with version control software.
ü Must be able to work independently (ie, self-directed)
Responsibilities:
ü Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost-effective software/package solution.
ü Researches and tracks new web technologies, develops service applications, and analyzes business requirements as they pertain to web-based systems.
ü Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards.
ü May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff.
