Scope Of The Project:
ü Candidate should possess senior level administrative knowledge in the support, architecture and implementation of unix/linux servers.
ü Must have extensive knowledge of red hat linux, aix, and hp ux server support and management in an enterprise environment. Satellite server is a requirement.
ü Ability to work with diverse groups and to communicate complex ideas and subjects accurately, clearly and concisely as well as the ability to transfer knowledge to management, peers and functional teams is required.
ü Must be available to work outside the normal monday – friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm business hours as needed
ü Local candidate preferred. This position requires on site support!
Daily Duties / Responsibilities:
1.Review, Install, Maintain, And Test Operating System And Application Software On Unix/Linux Server Platforms.
2. Administer And Tune Unix/Linux Servers For Optimum Operating Efficiency.
3. Perform Local Security Auditing And Updates On Unix/Linux Platforms.
4. Provide Technical Guidance To Peers By Instructing Them In The Maintenance And Support Of Various Components Of The Multi-Processing Systems Hosted In The Unix/Linux Environment.
5. Assist With The Architecture, Design And Implementation Of An Offsite Datacenter For Redundancy Purposes
6. Assist With The Architecture And Enhancement Of Distributed Enterprise Backup Systems.
