Title: Systematics Mainframe Developer

Duration: 6 month

Visa: USC/GC only

Interview: Phone and Onsite (Local)/Skype (Non-Local)

Location: Remote position

Job Description: 

Keys:

 

·         MUST have Impacs and/or Savings Time experience (specifically written code experience)

·         RM Application (which I believe comes from FIS/Fidelity) is Preferred

·         Online Systematics experience strongly preferred (upcoming project deals with this)

·         Systematics GN architecture would be nice as well.

·         Remote roles and phone hires for non-local candidates.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Responsible for the definition, design, construction, integration, testing, and support of reliable and reusable software solutions, addressing business opportunities.  
- Includes systems analysis, creation of specifications, coding, testing, and implementation of application programs and data interfaces.
- Requires a previous domain of experience in applications development.  
- Responsible for overall application design, including interfaces with other applications and systems.  
- Assures that application designs are consistent with industry best practices application attributes (including scalability, availability, maintainability, and flexibility).

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:


- Mainframe developer with Cobol coding skills
- Must have excellent analytical skills and able to work independently
- Impacts (IM) knowledge is required
- Must have analytical and coding skills from working on IM
- 3-5 years minimum; prefer 5+ years
- Must have experience with JCL and preferably with Zeke (FIS' job scheduling application)
- Must have working knowledge of Systematics batch processing
- Savings Time (ST) experience is a plus; preferably 3-5 years
- RM (FIS' Relationship Manager application) knowledge is a plus
- Systematics online experience is a plus
- Knowledge of GN is a plus
- Knowledge of the Agile methodology or experience working on an Agile team is a plus

Related experience:

 

·         3-5 years prior application development experience

·         Capital One Experience Desired

·         Demonstrated experience with large scale application integration efforts

·         Have participated in more than 5 Agile projects

·         Communication - Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels

·         Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges

·         Demonstrated experience to influence and coordinate third parties and suppliers 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:


- Candidates MUST possess experience in Impacs and/or Savings Time (specifically experience writing code using those applications)
- RM application experience PREFERRED
- Online systematics experience STRONGLY PREFERRED (an upcoming project requires understanding of the online process)
- Experience with systematics GN architecture STRONGLY PREFERRED
