Job Title              :   Business Analyst -  Education and Tutoring Domain

Job Location       :  Hunt Valley(Cockeysville)  Maryland

Job Type             :  18 months contract

Interview             :  Phone and Skype

Visa Status          :  US Citizen, Green Card, GC-EAD.

 

 

Job Summery :

 

Minimum Requirements :

·         Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

·         Exposure to education and tutoring industry or any services industry.

·         6+ years of experience in the development of applications in an Agile environment as Business Analyst

·         5+ years of experience translating business requirements into a detailed system specification

·         Extensive experience working with business users in a franchise environment.

·         Proficiency in BA tools and techniques like process modeling and mind mapping

·         Proven experience in leading JAD sessions in an agile environment.

·         Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

 

Primary roles and responsibilities:

·         Split Epics into user stories along with Product owners.

·         Complete basic story grooming based on information available.

·         Lead Joint application development sessions to gather requirements.

·         Document the requirements and user stories in formats agreed upon with client.

·         Plan  the agenda and schedule for requirement workshops / focus groups.

·         Lead workshops to elicit requirements with product owner and customer franchise users.

·         Work with client  BA to understand existing systems, functionality and documentation.

·         Work closely with client teams to ensure timely review and signoff on requirements and related decisions.

·         Data/Information modeling and mapping with existing sylvan data sources.

·         Help coordinate sessions with technical / business team to gather and document nonfunctional requirements.

·         Assist development team with understanding the requirements.

·         Work with product owner/franchise teams to get development / QA team's clarifications answered .

·         Document future business process and process guidelines for centers along with Sylvan BA team.

·         Assist QA team to prepare test cases .

·         Review test cases to ensure requirement coverage.

·         Analyze change requests and capture requirements for changes.

·         participate in change management process.

·         Assist product owner, franchise users in planning UAT, preparing UAT test cases.

·         Participate in  requirement clarifications / system demos along with product owner.

·         Analyze change requests and capture requirements for changes.

·         Assist Product owner in user training / product demos.

·         Analyze change requests and capture requirements for changes.

·         Data modeling requirement analysis.

·         Participate in data migration strategy.

·         Participate in Sprint planning and other sprint related activities.
