Title: Network Engineer - DNS Focused

Location: Reston, VA

Duration: Long Term

 

ONLY USC AND GC

 

Need 8+ Years Experience

 

Description

The engineering role below will manage the evaluation, deployment, maintenance, development and upgrades of our client's IT networking infrastructure such as:
• Managing network systems projects
• Configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting network equipment including routers, switches and overall network

Required Experience 
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 5+ years of IP Networking industry experience
• Knowledge of QIP standards
• Working knowledge of Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewall administration, Cisco router and switch administration
• Expertise in Fore Scout and Infoblox
• Excellent knowledge of network topologies, and large scale IP network designs
• Strong IP knowledge: design, configuration, LAN protocols, secure networking, load balancers, firewall requests, TCP/IP, OSPF, SNMP, DHCP, SSL, AES, AAA Servers, PKI Certification, RADIUS, VPN.
• Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment
• Documentation skills
• Strong problem solving and communication (both written and verbal) skills

 

Note: This individual must have a significant amount of experience with IPAM, must have depth configuring bind and QIP. This role requires depth in DNS so although this individual will need to have the basics from a Network Engineering perspective, this is a true DNS expertise role.
