Role: Senior Back-End Java Developer + Hadoop

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 6 months+

 

Job Description

This is for a leading North American Media Company and they are looking for a senior full time java back-end developers for their tools organization developing IPTV triage tools.  As part of engagement Wipro is looking for strong Java Back-End Developers.

Education

·         Preferred: Master's Degree in Engineering or Science.

·         Mandatory: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science.

Mandatory Development Skills

·         Extensive experience with building highly scalable and redundant Java back-end services

·         6+ years of experience with Java Back-End programming languages

·         5+ years in Web Service concepts, with focus on exporting WSDL

·         4+ years with caching and performance optimization techniques including sort algorithms

·         4+ years Multithreading and Synchronization (wait/notify/notifyAll, SwingUtils.invokeLater, the concurrency library)

·         3+ years queuing: Kafka, ActiveMQ, Storm, etc.

·         2+ years integrating with non-relational database: Cassandra, mongo, Hadoop, Hive, Splunk, ElasticSearch, etc.

·         2+ year integrating with SQL databases

·         Knowledgeable on real time (Spark, Storm) data vs. batch processing (Hadoob, DynamoDB).

·         Knowledgeable of roles of key external components to help with redundancy, scalability and replication such as load balancers, databases

·         Extensive knowledge and ability to demonstrate on basic Java elements

o   Memory management and Garbage collection

•             Lead and mentor team in all aspects of technical execution of project.

•             Identify and establish parameters to ensure that solution meets design requirements for functional and non-functional needs.

•             Perform day to day code reviews for code, documentation and check-ins to ensure delivery quality.

•             Proven ability to design horizontally scalable systems

•             Understanding of the key open source alternatives, current state of maturity, licensing models.

•             Pros / cons for most popular public / private cloud solutions.

Location: Lincolnshire IL

Duration: Long Term

 

Please look for OBIA developers has experience in OBIEE, Informatica and DAC

 

But few things that we have noticed consistently are candidates who have

1.       Not worked in informatica in past one year or more ( lot of folks had experience  with ODI - We don't use it in Zebra )

2.       Havn't had BI APPS  project is recent past so not familiar with the architecture

3.       Have been 'Onsite Cordinators' in Support projects with little hands on

Role: CA SiteMinder

Location: North Quincy MA

Duration: 6 months+

 

Key skills required for the job are:

  • CA SiteMinder (Mandatory)
  • Ping Federate
  • Pretty Good Privacy-PGP

As a Consultant, you should have in-depth knowledge in any one technological or industry practice / functional area and overview of 2-3 other areas. You should handle solution definition/ fitment for a small sized project with a medium complexity. You should be able to build a custom Function Module with medium complexity program logic.
