  Position: SQL Developer w/ C# Experience

  Location: New York City, NY

  Duration: 6+ Month/ Contract to Hire

  Interview: Phone and Skype 

Must be USC, GC or EAD- GC

• Description:

- Monitoring of daily data loads

- Research and resolve operational data problems based on proactive data profiling / analytics
- Triage of data load and quality issues
- Develop data cleansing / enhancement routines utilizing standardization, transformation, rationalization, linking and / or matching techniques
- Documentation of key data process and transformations 
- Support ad-hoc portfolio management and trader data requests, when needed.

Requirements
- 7 years of experience optimizing SQL queries, procedures and functions
- 5 years of MS-SQL experience as an operational data store
- 3 years of C# experience in a data loading and transformation context
- Knowledge of fact / dimensional data and data modeling techniques to ensure data integrity while deliver a good balance of performance and scalability
- Prior experience working in an environment where deliver quality data on time every morning is critical
- Must have a passion for data
- Driven to improve things / make things better than you found them
- Basic understanding of Statistics and its usage in data analysis
- Comfort working in an agile / iterative, fast moving environment with frequent development of production quality code
- Experience with equity financial market data preferred
