Position: .NET Developer

Location: McLean, VA

Duration: 6+ Month/ Contract to Hire 

Interview: Phone and Skype

Must be USC or GC

 

This Developer will work in a fast-paced, results-driven Microsoft-centric environment and be responsible for building / re-writing various modules as well as complete applications, and be involved in numerous system development efforts using ASP.NET,C#, SQL Server 2012, MVC, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, and Entity Framework 

The candidate will also work directly with business clients to gather requirements and to provide support for existing systems.  

Candidates should have at least 10+ years of experience interpreting requirements, developing applications, and working with customers to deliver solutions. A good understanding of application design, databases, testing, and change control experience are all required. All candidates must be able to effectively communicate with other team members, managers, and customers both verbally, and in writing.  The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Object Oriented Programming concepts and the systems development life cycle.  This experience will include modeling, designing, coding, unit, integration and regression testing, debugging and deployment. This position will assist in the technical design of projects and will develop against the approved design, with limited oversight.   

What you'll be doing:

• Design, Develop and Implement new features for the application suite using .NET framework and Visual Studio
• Apply coding and analytical skills in all phases of the software development life cycle
• Interface with third party APIs to pull real time data
• Work with customers to implement custom C# functionality
• Collaborate with implementation team to design specific proposal layouts
• Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of C#, ASP.Net (NET 4.0 / VS 2010 are preferred), and SQL Server 2012
• Minimum 2+ years of web development with HTML5, CSS, Ajax, JavaScript 
• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies
• Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming
• Ability to be a self-starter on a full life cycle development project
