Hadoop Developer w/ Heavy Data experience

Englewood CO 

6+ month/ Contract

Phone and In Person

Must be USC or GC

Note: This is for a Hadoop Developer with a heavy background working with data. Not really looking for a Java Dev that transitioned into Hadoop.

 

Skill Set: Kafka, Spark, Hive, SQL, Java, NoSql (Accumulo/HBase)

Total 5+ years of development experience in IT industry and 3+ years in Hadoop

• Experience developing both batch and real time applications on the Hadoop platform.
• At least 1 year hands on experience in spark programming especially spark SQL
• Experience designing and developing non-trivial ETL processes within Hadoop using tools like hive, sqoop.
• Experience in No SQL technologies like accumulo/HBase
• Experience in data governance, data quality in hadoop.
• Data Warehousing experience is a plus
• Understand the importance of tracking data lineage and providing trusted data to multiple discerning consumers.
• Experience creating and maintaining pipelines of data with well documented lineage.
• Solid data-modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to appreciate and engage in both big-picture strategic activities and detail oriented tactical activities
• Agile/Scrum experience
