Here is the job description:-

 

Job Title              :   DB2 UDB EEE/DPF Database Admin

Job Location       :   Reston, VA

Duration              :  Long Term Contract

Interview              : Phone+ Face to Face/Skype

Visa Status          :  US Citizen, Green Card, GC-EAD and H1B only.

 

Description :

 

Consultant will perform the following Database Engineering tasks: database engineering assessments, database buildouts, DBMS certifications, performance tuning, script writing, performing backups/recovery, database monitoring, SQL writing, providing 24 x 7 oncall production support, providing developers with database administration support during development lifecycle.

Required experience:

DB2 UDB EEE / DPF 10.5, 10.1, 9.7 (10+ years of exp)
Performance Tuning
Shell Scripting.
Aix to Linux Migration Experience a Plus
Data stage Experience will be a Plus

 

Certifications:
Any DBMS certifications?

Transfer of Knowledge Plan:

Consultant will document and review his assignments with DBEs and Management.

PROJECT REQUIREMENT:

Project Tasks/Activities:

DBMS certifications, Script-writing, performing backups/recovery, database monitoring, SQL and performance tuning at all levels, on call production support (24x7), database and object design.  

Deliverables:

Will be defined based on specific database assignments

Quality/Acceptance Criteria:

Management or appropriate team lead will review and approve DBEs work.

Status Reporting:

Consultant will provide verbal and written status of His assigned tasks to Management.
