Role: Release/Build/Configuration Engineer
Location: Philadelphia, PA & Stanton, DE
Duration: Long Term
Minimum Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent work experience in enterprise application development
- 6 or more years of experience in configuration / release management
- Strong working knowledge with the following technologies / products / methodologies:
o Octopus
o TFS
o Team City
o Docker
o Jenkins
o GoCD
· Technical Lead in handling project.
Desired Experience
· Experience in providing suggecting and configuring the build deployment process for Enterprise level applications.
· Working in environments that fully embrace the Agile framework.
Have worked as a Technical Lead
Roles & Responsibilities
· Reproduce builds on the builder servers (and ensure proper management of archival copies) Work with current build system/machines that build CI and Release builds.
· Facilitate special build requests
· Understand/document/manage the configuration of the build servers for each platform
· Automates the current build processes and responsible for daily deployments in QA/UAT environment
· Responsible for automated production deployment
· Ensure builds have proper release documentation.
· Manage/track any required Configuration files (as needed to product features)
· Work with ProdOps on release process to the proper stores or partners (document and backup ProdOps)
· Understand current configuration of QA/Pre-prod environments <- Maintains a central resource detailing the versions of all deployed services in QA, Beta and Prod.
· Provides a check before release that roll-back plans have been prepared.
