QA Tester

Location: New York City, NY

Duration: 6+ month/ Contract

Interview: Telephone and In Person

Responsibilities:
 Develop Test Plan and Test Strategy documents
 Develop test cases for functional testing
 Perform functional, regression, system end to end testing
 Report issues in Jira and provide appropriate issue escalation
 Generate test execution reports on a daily basis during the testing phase
 Participate in Scrum meetings

Domain Knowledge:
 In-depth understanding and knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) Pension - > 5+ years of experience
o Administration
o Calculations (HAC, Credited Services)
o Billing
o Collections
o Retiree Benefits

Required Skills:
 5+ years' experience with testing methodology and techniques
 Understanding of good testing principles including negative testing.
 Solid understanding of Scrum framework (sprints, stories, velocity)
• Strong understanding of MySQL, Oracle SQL, or any other relational database
• Strong analysis and follow up skills is a MUST
• Experience with Jira/Confluence for bug tracking and documentation
 Experience with TestRail, or any other test management tool
• Proven ability to formulate and execute test plans and test cases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
 Proven ability to communicate openly and effectively.
• A self-starter who can deliver well as part of a team
 Ability to efficiently manage time

EDUCATON and/or EXPERIENCE:
 BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or relevant
experience.
 A minimum of 5 years' QA experience performing functional and regression testing
 A minimum of 5 years' experience with relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL, or MySQL).
