Ruby on Rails Developer

Sacramento, CA

9+ month/ Contract

Phone and Skype

Must be USC, GC or EAD- GC

The key is finding a strong Ruby on Rails developer who has a take charge type of personality. 

They are flexible on the # yrs of experience IF they are a strong leader and have a STRONG understanding of RoR and can Pair Program.

 

Required qualifications

·         MUST be a strong decisive person who is cable of speaking up and telling the team which direction to go and able to lead the team in HOW to get the job done.

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

•                   10 years of development experience (can be a mixture of Ruby and other)
•                    Must have 5 years of Large Scale System Development and Maintenance Project experience.

·         5 years writing Frontend using Ruby on Rails

·         Must have at least 2 years of experience with Agile Development tools and techniques.

·         2 years consuming Restful APIs

·         Test-Driven Development (TDD)

·         Strong Communication Skills and being able to work in a collaborative environment.

·         Code in Rails Framework

·         Agile Software Development

·         Vim editor

·         Experience with Relational Database (MySQL or other)

 

Preferred skills (strongly desired and will need to learn w/in 1^st month of project):

·         React.js

·         Flux/Redux

·         Docker
