Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Principal Accountabilities:
• Develop code for Data Warehouse in support of business intelligence projects • Possesses a broad understanding of multiple technologies, including DBMS, ETL, Reporting, OLAP, performance tuning for high-end hardware and storage • Integrate data from multiple source systems into Data Warehouse

• Participate in architectural decisions for data transitions from source to staging to ODS to EDW

• Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and supervisor • Point out system or process problems when noticed and engage the team in problem solving • Develop technical skills comparable to other developers • Fill in for other developers as requested • Takes responsibility for assignment completion and follow-through • Provide high level of customer service • Establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers • Facilitate satisfactory communication and resolution of problems • Adhere to Newedge internal policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
• 7+ years of IT experience
• 5+ years of recent PL/SQL development experience

• 5+ years of Data Warehouse experience

• 5+ years of experience with extraction, transformation and loading tools and the development of strategies for the loading of data into the production enterprise data warehouse

• 5+ years of production experience in an Oracle enterprise data warehouse

• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from end users (customers)

• Ability to work closely with customers in analyzing requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken

• Comfortable working independently, but has experience working in a team environment

• Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers and other development and management personnel

• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English required

• Can discern when escalation is needed.
• Finance Industry experience preferred
