Title:          SSIS Developer

Location:    Atlanta, GA

Duration:     3+months


Daily Tasks:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting SSIS packages that implement complex ETL processes.
  • Strong knowledge with Microsoft SQL Server technologies (SQL queries, stored procedures).
  • Ability to work with multiple different deadlines and priorities while managing work load within a fast paced, energetic, and dynamic workplace.
  • Good problem solving, design, coding, and debugging skills.
  • Develop, code, test, and deliver data warehouse solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs to map and load data from source systems to data warehouses.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of the data mapped from staging environments to the target reporting environments.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and database design at the conceptual, logical, and physical level.
  • Provide support to existing production ETL jobs.
  • Develop ETL audits and controls to ensure quality of data meets or exceeds defined standards and thresholds.
  • Communicate open items and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, and business areas.
  • Maintaining data repository with data definitions, relationships, linkages and sources.

Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in development of BI/Data Warehouse solutions via Microsoft SSIS.
  • Must have strong understanding of DW processes and OLAP concepts, with star schema data models.
  • Experience working with large and/or complex data sets in SQL Server 2008 is required and experience with SQL Server 2012 is preferred.
  • Experience with data modeling, data analysis, data profiling and data mapping.
  • Experience with Agile development techniques.
  • Be self-driven with the desire to achieve measurable, specific results within tight time frames.
  • Must have excellent analytical, conceptual, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to resolve critical production issues.
  • Excellent communications skills, able to work effectively with business users to understand and clarify requirements as well as educate and resolve end user reporting issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams as well as independent setting.
