Three Republicans have stepped up and supported HR 15. Ask Majority Whip McCarthy, What kind of leader will YOU be?

On Wednesday, Congressmen David Valadao (R-CA) became the third House Republican to co-sponsor HR15, the House comprehensive immigration bill. This essential bill includes agricultural provisions negotiated by UFW and major grower associations.

Congressman David Valadao stated,"I have been working with the United Farm Workers, agricultural producers, businesses and constituents with families throughout my district and believe the time is now to fix our immigration system. I have been working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to find common ground on the issue of immigration reform. Recently, I have focused my efforts on joining with likeminded Republicans in organizing and demonstrating to Republican Leadership broad support within the Party to address immigration reform in the House by the end of the year."

Congressman Valadao has stepped forward, recognizing the need of his constituency. Congressman Kevin McCarthy, whose district also represents agriculture and the people who pick our crops, should do the same. As Majority Whip, he is a top Republican leader in Congress and this gives him the ability to influence other Members of Congress.

Join people across the nation in messaging this key Republican leader and tell him to step up to the plate and bring HR 15 for a vote. Now is the time to pass immigration reform. We have bipartisan support. All we ask is that House Republicans allow a vote.
