· Responsible for Uplifting Databases, Must know the standard process for uplift.
· Responsible for Migrating Data and performance tuning – (How to do it is a must.)
· Must be able to demonstrate Uplift methodology, analysis required, and how long it took in their past, if not worked how much he/she estimates.
· Candidate must think a bit outside the box, can communicate effectively, and can explain this entire process.
· Responsible for creating data structures and database management capabilities to enable the development of application solutions, involving operational databases and solutions utilizing business intelligence and data warehousing databases.
· Perform all facets of database strategy, architecture, engineering, design, implementation, tuning and monitoring.
· Provide database administration services to projects creating, extending or maintaining databases, data warehouses and data marts.
· Delivers, maintains and optimizes the performance of a database system for AET.
· Responsible for maintaining the overall integrity of data used in, updated in, and published by one or more applications.
· Creates physical database structures (e.g. tables and tablespaces) and documents these in a CASE tool
· Ensure technical metadata entries are accurate and complete when new or modified databases are moved to production.
· Transform logical data architectures into physical data designs, according to database design best practices and document in the approved CASE tool.
· Adhere to data modeling guidelines, best practices, data governance and standards.
· Monitor and optimize database system performance/throughput.
· Set-up and schedule data replication, backup, and recovery to meet requirements and standards.
· Promote adherence to and participate in the creation of database related best practices, polices, procedures and associated processes.
· Assist in and influence the future direction for all database related products, utilities and tools.
· Develop physical data architectures that enable robust and extensible solutions that meet both short and long term business requirements.
