Position: SQL BI Developer (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS)
Duration: 6+ months
Location: Nashville , TN
Overview & Responsibilities of SQL BI Developer
The primary working environment is in SQL Server 2008 on Windows Server2008. The project involves database development, ETL, OLAP and .NET developmentin support of a custom Performance Management application for our banking client.
1. Support existing application
2. Develop and maintain MS SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) 2012 Cube/OLAP warehouse.
3. Formulate efficient MDX queries for application sand reports without use of a query builder application. Implement projectapplications according to specifications
4. Research technical issues and provide recommendations
5. Develop industry-standard technical documentation
6. Suggest ideas for improving efficiency
7. Participate in ad-hoc projects and assignments as required
8. Ability to work independently, follow standards,and produce quality results while meeting tight deadlines on deliverables.
9. Be proactive with testing and stabilization
Qualifications
1. Minimum 8-10+ years experience working with databases required.
2. Minimum 6+ years working with MS SQL SSAS/OLAPtools required.
3. Proven experience working with MS SQL: Server Analysis Services (SSAS) – Dimension, Measures and Key Performance Indicators(KPIs).
4. Proven OLAP database experience writing Multidimensional Expressions MDX queries and Drill-Down/Thru approaches.
5. Advanced knowledge and understanding of MSExcel, pivot tables (2010) and different types of data connections (OLAP/ODBC)required.
6. Strong communication skills required.
7. Impeccable attention to detail, quantitative aptitude and analytical skills required.
8. Proven ability to develop technology within a large, complex, geographical diverse environment required.
9. Bachelors degree in MIS, CIS or related field of study
10. Experience in the financial securities industry highly desired
11. Microsoft SQL-SSAS and SQL-SSIS certifications are highly desired.
