Role:                  Data Architect

Location            Pleasanton, CA( Need Local Or able to attend F2F)

Duration:           Long Term

 

Data Architect will perform high-level professional services in support of State Fund's systems providing expert Data Architecting services for all data warehouse, data mart and operational and business intelligence databases related IT projects as needed, documenting system requirements and changes.

 

Required Experience:

•A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, during which both professional and management capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.

•Extensive experience in establishing standards and guidelines for the design & development, tuning, deployment and maintenance of information, advanced data analytics and text mining models

•Provide leadership in establishing analytic environments required for structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.

•Proven track record to drive rapid prototyping and design for new projects.

•Ability to translate broader business initiatives into clear team objectives and concrete individual goals, aligning appropriately with other groups for efficient, coordinated action.

•Experience in strategy roadmap for enterprise data, implementation and data management for new data sources, publicly available data and advanced Data Analytics systems.

•Knowledge of medical claims, policy and insurance in consulting industries with focus on worker compensation insurance.

•Extensive expertise in Oracle database, as well as data modeling, both logical and physical.

•Extensive experience in multidimensional data modeling, such as star schemas, snowflakes, normalized and de-normalized models, handling "slow-changing" dimensions/attributes.

•Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

•Outstanding verbal, written and visual presentation skills.

•Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities.

•Proven skills to work effectively across internal functional areas in ambiguous situations.

•Structured thinker and effective communicator, comfortable with interacting with customers.

•Ability to work independently, establishing strategic objectives, project plans and milestone goals.

•Extensive experience providing practical direction on information and analytics platforms in conjunction with EDW tools and technologies.

•Experience using with project management and SDLC methodologies with solid understanding of key BI trends.

•Solid experience with Data Warehouse; extensive experience for collecting business requirements from customers, and transform the requirements into DB data processes and data schema.

•Knowledge of relational SQL databases and SQL in at least one of the following environments: Oracle, DB2, SQL Server
