Job Details

Our direct client (a large data analytics company with worldwide customer base) is looking for DevOps contractor(s) at two different locations Jersey City, NJ and in Burr Ridge, IL. Client prefers contract to hire but open to long term contracts as well.

 

Puppet for sure and client is also looking into Docker. Haven't committed 100% to Puppet, so if there's someone really good who is more familiar with Chef, that's also fine.

 

Technical environment:

Red Hat Linux 6.5 (we will try to stay as current as possible)

Java 1.7 (will move to 1.8 at some point in the next year or so)

MS SQL Server 2014

ElasticSearch 1.8

Puppet, Chef, Docker

The successful candidate will have Java programming experience combined with deep Linux experience. 

Should have performance monitoring and tracking experience as well as server admin and coding experience. 

Should be very comfortable working with the Linux console as they will be helping to mentor Java developers to be more cross functional. 

The candidates should have experience with Microservice, Springs, Rest services, and preferably Ember JS (if not, they should have Angular JS).
