1) Infrastructure Architect (2 POSITIONS)
Location: Portland, OR
Duration: 12 months+

The role of the Chief Infrastructure Architect is to define architectural solutions that meet the client's requirements and leverages the company's portfolio standard offerings.

The Chief Infrastructure Architect should:
  • Deliver solution architecture designs that meet business requirements, are on time and within budget
  • Align infrastructure architectural strategy with business objectives based on portfolio standard offerings.
  • Analyze business and infrastructure technical requirements to determine system design, potential issues, and related cost for each project request.
  • Provide industry focused tactical guidance, governance, direction and assistance to the account team regarding infrastructure solutions
  • Coordinate with architecture and technical solution groups as appropriate based on contract and project needs
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Infrastructure Architect and be an active participant in committees defining technology stacks and standards.
  • Develops industry best practice documentation for using infrastructure solutions to improve the knowledge base for cross-brand solutions.
  • Act as an interface point between Quality, technical architecture and solution teams and leadership
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations at CEO/COO/CIO levels for large, complex Opportunities, Single point of contact for escalation and resolution of infrastructure issues on behalf of Account team
  • Represent the account in all technical aspects of Solution Design and infrastructure architecture (architecture-production)
  • Develop for client technically or operationally feasible long-term IT strategies and plans
  • Support both Standard & Non-Standard Service Requests
  • Assist Account team with analyzing and implementing Portfolio Standards for both Software and Hardware implementations
  • Assist Account Project managers on the following: 
  • Organize and ensure solution design documents are completed
  • Identify and ensure all infrastructure and architectural deliverables are noted in project schedules
  • Validate the dates for infrastructure deliverables in the project schedule are realistic and achievable
  • Participate in transition and design storyboards and approve engineering workbooks
  • Validate the scope of the solution meets contractual and SLA requirements (availability, performance, capacity)
  • Validate T&T Plans, resource schedules and costs
  • Provide IE leadership between technical towers for integration issues /concerns
  • Leverage portfolio capabilities, where appropriate
  • Incorporate ESSM (i.e., SRA), when appropriate
  • Leverage Platform / Network / SAN Templates
  • Understand and maintain, as appropriate, roadmaps for the technologies in use at the account
  • Review/create/maintain Enterprise Architecture Documents
  • Ensure all design summary proposals adhere to capability standards, GE-QMS process and artifact requirements.
  • Review solution during the construction phase and validate the "as built" environment matches the detailed design
Technical Skills and Experiences:
Prerequisites: (applicant must meet all to qualify.)
  • Meets degree educational requirements or has equivalent work experience for job code.
  • At least four years of hands on experience with the following platforms:
  • Linux, Solaris, UNIX, AIX, VMware, Windows 2008
  • Meets web infrastructure-engineering skills in the following areas: 
  • Web Server (Sun One, iPlanet, etc) (3 years of experience)
  • Knowledge Knowledge in Oracle Database
  • Knowledge in Backup/Restore (TSM, Networker, Avamar, etc)
  • Knowledge in Sun Java Enterprise Server
  • Knowledge in BEA WebLogic
  • Knowledge in Red Hat
  • Solid understanding in Networks, Firewalls, Routers, IP Filters
  • Knowledge in Load Balancers (BigIP/F5, Cisco) is a plus
  • Knowledge in J2EE

3) Service Desk Analyst
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 1 year

Summary:
The key objective of the Service Desk Agent is to respond to customer contacts (received by phone, email or incident management tool web interface) in a courteous, professional manner and to either resolve the incident or request or to log and refer the client's incident/request to the appropriate resolver team in a timely manner.  

Specific responsibilities are:
  • Receive and respond to client incoming telephone calls utilizing standard customer service skills.
  • Monitor and respond to client incoming emails using standard email etiquette and/or predefined standard email responses.
  • Undertake initial diagnostics of incident or received service request, use available tools (knowledge management, remote control & incident management applications).
  • Accurately record and classify all incoming incidents with the appropriate priority, category and incident summary details.  Attach emails, attachments or any other communication provided by the client.
  • Follow all Service Desk processes and work instructions regarding the handling of all customers and incidents.
  • Proactively flag incidents where no knowledge solution is found.
  • Meet or exceed the level of service defined for each client when responding to all incoming incidents.
  • Refer records to resolving teams in a timely manner.
  • Reports to Service Desk Manager.
Profile of the candidate:
  • Fluent in English.
  • Ability to speak other languages (emphasis on Spanish) regarded as a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Basic experience in Windows, MS Office, MS based applications.
  • Basic IT technical support experience.
  • Flexible, well-motivated team player, ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness/ability to work shift work

This position will be responsible for implementing new software applications, updating existing software applications as well as maintaining existing software applications.  This person will install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems. Maintains application data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.  Position will provide daily support for ERP system as well as other software applications.  This position will also support other enterprise applications throughout the organization.
