{PBJFlorida} FW: Cesar's Life is in Danger

Dream Activist
Hi Miguel
Last week you helped us get Cipriano out of detention, now his friend Cesar Leon needs the same help. Cesar is currently being detained in the same detention center that Cipriano was held at, the Broward Transitional Center. Cesar has been detained since April 20th, that makes 82 days of detention as of today!
Cesar and his wife fled to Florida from Venezuela in 1999. Since then they have been fighting an asylum case. Now, more than 12 years later, their case has been denied and they are told they must return to Venezuela. Cesar and his wife have a family here, they have a 9-year old citizen son and many that depend on them. Most importantly, if deported, both Cesar and his wifes life would be in danger.
Both of them are active members of ORVEX, an organization dedicated to exiled Venezuelans. As you can imagine because of the work they do the Venezuelan government is not too happy, in fact ORVEX is listed as a terrorist organization by the government there. This is why it's crucial that we stop Cesar's deportation as in the past the Venezuelan government has retaliated against ORVEX members.
Since his asylum case has been denied, along with his appeals, Cesar could be deported at any moment. Miguel will you join us in making a call for Cesar's immediate release? Today we are filing a request with ICE and DHS headquarters in Washington D.C. asking for the release of Cesar, but we need your calls to back up the request.

GOAL 1,000 CALLS TODAY: 1-800-394-5855 or 1-800-821-9358 or 202-732-3000

Sample Script: I am calling to ask that Cesar Leon (A# 088-006-762) be released from Broward Transitional Center in Florida and that his deportation be stopped. Cesar is a low-priority deportation. He has been living in the U.S. for the past 13 years. As an exiled Venezuelan if deported Cesar's life is in danger. Stop his deportation.

After calling please take the graphic on this email and share it on Facebook. Also send us a quick note so we can keep a tally of your calls.

Much love for all the work you do!
