A message from Laura Moye, the director for the Abolish Death Penalty campaign……
Comrades,
Today we remember Troy Davis.
We are his legacy. We are a pillar in the movement to end the death penalty. We are a force to be reckoned with in the struggle to bring human rights home, and not just abroad.
I encourage you to add your comments to our blog post today. I know this case and the evidence of our power to impact the world for the cause of human rights impacted each and every one of us. Brian and I celebrate that with you today.
We can be proud of our activists who have been organizing events around the country this week and who are hitting social media with our abolitionist graphics and messages. We can be proud of the media mentions that we have been getting to advance the message that we will not forget and we are continuing the fight. For Troy's family, for Reggie Clemons, for California, Maryland, Kansas and all the other fronts of this struggle. This is all happening because of the hard work you have put in directly or indirectly. Thank you.
