Location: San  Francisco CA

SUMMARY

 As a Front End Software Engineer you will be responsible for building and supporting client web applications using HTML, CSS and Java. This role focuses on creating performant and scalable code for both large and small web projects. They work within a development team, contributing to technical design, implementation, and testing. They will work closely with the Technical, Project and QA managers to ensure on time and on quality delivery of websites and applications.

 

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

 

• Expert level JavaScript skills with emphasis on understanding writing modular, reusable, testable, performant code.
• Strong knowledge of at least one of the popular Javascript application frameworks and libraries (eg. Angular, Backbone, Ember)
• Experience in leveraging the latest functionality in CSS3/HTML5 including applicable polyfills.
• Strong understanding of the DOM how it functions, what repaint and reflow are etc.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS
• Experience with common bootstrap or build tools (eg. Yeoman, Middleman, Grunt)
• Demonstrated experience leading projects from concept to completion.
• Ability to operate effectively in a team oriented environment.
• Comfortable operating from a command line.
• Experience delivering websites that adhere to SEO / Accessibility best practices.
• Experience in developing mobile specific or responsive sites.
