Application Technology Analyst

Location: TX

Job Description

·         The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting all AAFCU business applications and technical tools and utilities needed to support these applications including software, interfaces, networking and connectivity, databases, etc. The Application Support Team is responsible for the daily administration, support, maintenance, database administration, proactive monitoring, moving development software into production, system performance and capacity, software compatibility and upgrades, vendor management, application and system run book documentation for over 100 business applications. These business applications support all 590 AAFCU employees, members facing systems that support 240,000 members, and all revenue generating applications and interfaces for AAFCU. Application Support is tier 3 escalation for all software applications hosted internally and externally and will work closely with other IT functional areas and vendors to troubleshoot, debug, communicate, document, resolve and prevent system outages and disruptions 24x7. They will also provide feedback and documentation to the design team and Service Desk as necessary to adjust standards and procedures and will coordinate with Testing and QA to create, refresh and stage testing environments.

Position duties include, but not limited to

·         Work within a team environment focused on customer service and availability of systems

·         Manage and plan assigned application upgrades and patching

·         Troubleshoot issues across a diverse set of systems, applications, and technologies

·         Manage assigned vendor relations and escalations

·         Participate in an on-call rotation and be available 24x7 during designated rotation

·         Adherence to software release schedule, software compatibility matrix, and change management

·         Effective communication throughout the organization and vendors related to outages and application upgrades

Position Requirements

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, management information systems or related field, or four years of equivalent technical experience required.

·         4+ years' experience in an application support role or related field

·         Demonstrates proficiency to multi-task, plan, schedule, and organize

·         Very proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement, user satisfaction, and adherence to standards

·         Excellent troubleshooting skills to analyze problems objectively, logical thinker, detail oriented, and a focus on follow-up

·         Results-driven, strong decision making skills, works well under stress, manages competing priorities, and meets deadlines

·         Strong vendor management skills to work collaboratively to achieve results

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal)

·         Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access)

Senior Infrastructure Engineer/ NetBackup

Location: Tempe, AZ

Duration: 6 months

 

Description

Sr. Infrastructure Engineer – Phoenix - NetBackup

DESCRIPTION:

·         This position is to design, engineer, and deploy systems at American Airlines data centers to backup servers using NetBackup and Data Domain products. This position will also work with our managed service providers to ensure quality backups in our managed data centers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Will assist with the design and the deployment of an enterprise backup solution in all the American Airlines data centers..

·         Will work to integrate the backup environment with other software platforms throughout the organization.

·         Works with both centralized and remote backup architecture

·         Works hand in hand with project managers, other engineers, administrators, and customers to deliver projects on time and in budget.

·         Develops documentation for requirements, architectural designs, engineering drawings and diagrams, as well as operational policies and procedures.

·         Develops and documents best practices for system installation, deployment, and operation.

·         Manages technology proof of concept selection criteria, evaluation, and testing.

·         Explores and stays abreast of new technologies that can bring value to the organization.

·         Encourages an environment of sharing and team work among the project teams.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or 5 to 7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         7 years of experience in the backup engineering field.

·         3 years of experience with NetBackup.

·         2 years of experience with Data Domain

·         3 years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

·         Previous experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.

·         Previous experience with NetBackup 7.6.

·         Previous experience with DD Boost for Oracle Rman on Linux, Solaris, and Windows.

·         Previous experience with Cisco UCS or HP ProLiant servers

·         Previous Experience with IBM tape libraries TS3200 and TS3584 and Quantum tape libraries I40 and I80

·         Previous Experience with Data Domain appliances DD7200, DD2500, DD620, DD160 and Data Domain DLM1020 for use with IBM mainframe platform.

·         Previous experience working with VMWare and NetApp backups a plus.

·         Previous experience working with the ITIL and ITSM models.

·         Demonstrates good judgment and experience in technology selection and implementation.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Experience with Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

SIEM Security Engineer

Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Duration: 6 months

 

Education, Experience, and Certification

·         Bachelors degree in telecommunications, computer science, information technology or equivalent experience

·         3+ years experience in information security discipline with focus on network security theory and practice

·         Security related certifications such as Security+ or CISSP are beneficial but not required

 

Required Skills

·         Must have strong understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies

·         Must have 2+ year of direct hands on experience with IBM Qradar or similar SIEM product

·         Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices

·         Working knowledge of firewall platforms such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper

·         Working knowledge of Network IDS / NIPS platforms such as Cisco, IBM, McAfee

·         Possess effective verbal and written communications as well as strong organizational skills

·         Must be capable of working well independently as well as in a highly collaborative team environment

Job Description

·         Candidate will support and develop AA's IBM Qradar implementation at American Airlines. The primary objective includes evolving the solution to incorporate additional log sources. Job also includes general support like monitoring, creating/modify alerts, supporting the forensics team in general use, rule tuning, and managing vendor support for the SIEM system

 

Business Analyst - Software

Location: Ft. Worth, TX

Duration: 6 months

 

The Business Analyst - Software role is to ensure that the streamlined operation of the Desktop Services Team is in alignment with the business objectives of the organization and results in an enhanced end-user experience. This individual will ensure the efficient operation and administration of the Desktop Software Services end-to-end functional activities. This includes providing problem solving, direction and support for daily operational or transitional activities. The Business Analyst will work with project teams to plan migration and delivery of software-related service strategies and design within the Desktop Service Operations Environment. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Technical Product Manager, Desktop Architecture and Software Engineering team to identify, rationalize, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective software solutions for all business units including accommodation of IT policies, support processes and procedures, and knowledge base development in support of end-user communications and training.

 

Responsibilities

·         Assists the TPM in the management, discovery, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, license administration, operations, development, upgrade, and support of Desktop Software, including but not limited to desktop, laptop and tablet computing resources, operating systems and attendant peripherals.

·         Oversee provisioning of end-user services supporting the functional areas, including service desk, security, networking, architecture, vendors and integration labs to support technical issue resolution.

·         Follow asset management strategies for IT software, including requisition, service requests and reclamation of licensed software including sunset and disposal that may include version trade in.

·         Establish and maintain regular written communications with the organization's management, business units, and end users regarding pertinent Desktop Software Service activities.

·         Coordinate with Desktop Project Management and Desktop Architecture and Software Engineering teams for implementation of IT policies, processes, and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provisions

·         Leads process improvements initiatives based on Voice of the Customer (VOC), to meet technical and business requirements for software distribution, management and licensing.

·         Benchmark, analyze, report on Incident/Problem Management and make recommendations based upon extensive analysis to improve/enhance the Desktop Software Services.

·         Support the management of all financial aspects of the Desktop Software Service, including acquisition, operational and project budgeting, and annual budget review exercises.

·         Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.

·         Support the negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements.

·         Measure end-user customer satisfaction with software delivery, availability and fit for use.

 Information Security Analyst

Location: TX

Duration: 6 months

 

Job Description

·         Reporting to the Manager Information Security, the successful candidate will work as a member of and provide operational support for AA Credit Union Information Security department. This position will emphasize user interaction and requires a reasonable level of technical knowledge. The Information Security Analyst will perform in the following ways:

·         Audit and monitor production system logs for unauthorized transactions and intrusions.

·         Assist in performing security risk assessments and disaster recovery/business continuity planning.

·         Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of the company's information security policies, procedures, and guidelines and related documentation.

·         Provide analysis and recommendations for information security configuration to IT Project Managers.

·         Perform administrative functions to complete required tasks including recording issues into tracking system, checking voicemail/email, and documenting processes and issues.

·         Actively promote security awareness programs within the company.

·         On-call work (24x7) is required to respond to critical issues outside of business hours and some limited business travel is required.

·         Provide detailed verbal and written communication to management and peers.

·         Manage multiple projects with competing priorities including leading projects to install new security applications and technologies.

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         Candidate must ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all account information and Credit Union documents, data, and assets. Candidate is responsible for assuring that all work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and must have a good credit rating, which will be verified.

 

Required Attributes:

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills coupled with written and verbal communication skills are essential. Must be adaptable, capable and comfortable working on multiple concurrent projects with conflicting priorities in a high-tempo and dynamic environment. Candidate must possess a strong team mentality and willingness to work collaboratively with others. Satisfactory performance and attendance are required.

·         The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of information security experience that includes:

·         A 4 year degree, in Business or an IT Discipline, from an accredited University is strongly preferred.

·         Must be able to read, write, and fluently speak and understand the English language.

·         Industry certification such as; CISSP, MCITP, CISA, MCSE, or GIAC preferred.

·         Understanding of networking and communication techniques including WANs, LANs, Internet, Intranets, and protocols such as TCP, UDP, and IPSEC.

·         Ability to create and analyze system logs and network traffic captures from a security perspective; including anomalous traffic, intrusions, elimination of false positives, and recommendations for event tuning, using appropriate tools.

·         Security experience with networking technologies including, but not limited to routers, switches, and firewalls.

·         Understanding of industry best practices including ISO 17799/13335, NIST, COBIT, SANS, etc.

·         Experience developing, implementing and communicating security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

·         Subject matter expertise (3+ years' experience) in at least two technology-related disciplines; intrusion detection, antivirus, data loss protection, access controls, perimeter security, internet filtering, LDAP systems, Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL, etc.

·         Ability to communicate, both written and verbal, with a variety of end users possessing a range of technological skills.
