Overview:
  • The role of the Identity and Access Management Engineer (IAM) is to provide engineering delivery experience in IAM. The IAM engineer will participate in solution integration for new services and maintenance of existing solutions. Provides Tier 3 level operational support as well as pre-production implementation and production support globally. May be called upon to solve highly technical, complex problems or consult on other projects.
  • Duties
  • Member of team of engineers responsible for service lifecycle (requirements, implementation, delivery, support and maintenance) for managed service customers.
  • Applies Identity and Access Management security skills in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that deliverables meet specifications and quality requirements, and compliance with security policies.
  • Interacts effectively with internal and external personnel including clients, Project Managers, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Participates in change management activities.
  • Produces and maintains internal technical documentation.
  • Works with minimal supervision on projects; supports multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Resolves or facilitates resolution of incidents in a timely manner.
  • Less than 5% travel required. Occasional travel to remote data centers or office locations may be necessary.
  • May participate in on call rotation in support of 7x24 production environment.
  • Integrate business applications with the RSA VIA (formerly Aveksa) access governance tool, whether those applications are database, web service, or LDAP based.
  • Based on knowledge of the user access process and tool, determine and document the requirements of the integration effort.
  • Ability to manage the scope of a project.
  • Develop access request functionality for a new business application within the RSA tool.
  • Develop approval workflows within the RSA tool.
  • Develop provisioning workflows within the RSA tool.
  • Develop user access reviews within the RSA tool.
  • Develop reports using SQL and LDAP within the RSA tool.
  • Conduct UAT testing with the application team.
  • Complete move to production processes in alignment with HP policies.
  • Assure that each integrated business application is properly documented so that support processes can be aligned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of one or more of Identity and Access Management technologies - Certificate Authorities, CA hierarchy, certificate issuance, validation, authentication, and One Time Passwords (OTP)).
  • Knowledge of Identity and Access Management protocols, relevant RFC's and audit compliance.
  • Client application level knowledge SQL. DBA expertise is not required; must have ability to build and execute SQL scripts with knowledge of database schema.
  • Hands on experience and comfort with Linux OS; PHP, Java and shell scripting.
  • Experience with web and application servers (Apache/Tomcat) and related protocols HTTP, HTTPS and SOAP.
  • Familiarity with various OTP models, including SMS, IVR, OTP tokens.
  • Knowledge of LDAP (Active Directory, Sun ONE) and SAML
  • Knowledge of PKI Validation - such as Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) and Certificate Revocation List (CRL).
  • Familiarity with Hardware Security Modules (HSM).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be collaborative and team oriented, with a strong customer focus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with user access management tools and access provisioning workflows.
  • Ability to create and maintain engineering integration documents.
  • Knowledge of database and SQL fundamentals.
  • Ability to create SQL queries.
  • Ability to create LDAP filters.
  • Ability to create reports using SQL queries and/or LDAP filters.
  • Ability to work independently and work through ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of the RSA VIA Identity Management (formerly Aveksa) product.
