Position: Big Data Hadoop Developer

Location: San Ramon, CA

Duration: Long term

 

Required Experience and Skills

•           Overall 9+ years of experience with atleast 2 + years of experience in Hadoop Big Data environment

•           Expertise in Major Big Data distributions (like Pivotal, CloudEra etc)

•           Hands on experience with major components like MapReduce,Pig, Hive, HAWQ,  HBase

•           Expertise in Big data distribution Installation and configuration

•           Should have done at least 2 Big Data implementations

•           Strong understanding of underlying Hadoop concepts and distributed computing

•           Ability to design robust Hadoop solutions for complex business problems

•           Exposure to NOSQL databases (like Mongo DB, Cassandra etc)

•           Experience in core Java programming

•           Big Data Architectural skills will be Plus.

•           Exposure to Natural Language processing (NLP) tools and methodologies will be a plus.

•           Ability to analyze, identify issues with existing cluster, suggest architectural design changes

•           Ability/Knowledge  to implement security features/ Data Governance in Big Data environment will be an added advantage

•           Certifications like Pivotal/Cloudera Developer/Administrator Certifications added advantage

•           Ability to lead/Manage a team

•           Should have good Customer facing skills,

•           Project Management skills/ Presales experience will be an added advantage
