Technical/Functional Skills
· Cable TV other Streaming Content delivery experience
· Familiar with the theory and operation of RF circuits.
· Familiar with the following interfaces. WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee (specifically RF4CE)
· Set-top box test experience
· Familiar with the various analog and digital video and audio interfaces used in consumer electronic products.
· 5-8 years' experience, preferably in the Cable or Telecommunications industries.
Experience Required
· Understanding of digital and analog modulation and demodulation as applied to C.A.T.V.
· Familiar with the theory and operation of RF circuits.
· Familiar with the following interfaces. WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee (specifically RF4CE)
· Set-top box test experience
· Familiar with the various I/O interfaces used in consumer electronic products. For example: HDMI 2.0, USB (up to USB 3.0), Ethernet 10, 100 and 1000 base-T), SATA. Evaluation of signal integrity. Familiar with the specifications and certification processes for these standards.
· Familiar with theory and operation of RF circuits.
· Familiar with various analog and digital video and audio interfaces used in consumer electronic products.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Will be understanding and executing audio, video and RF parametric testing of advanced digital set top boxes..
· Setup and maintain test stations. Interpret the requirements based on the given parameter and associated test conditions. Record the results in an electronic spreadsheet. The engineer must be able to work with minimum supervision.
· Familiar with the following interfaces: PCIe, SPI, I2C, GPIO, DDR memory. Measure signal quality of high speed clocks and data interfaces. Knowledgeable with circuit design and pcb layout techniques utilized to optimize these waveforms. Crystal oscillator circuit design and evaluation, specification and measurement of crystals. Switch mode power supply testing including circuit reset and power sequencing, and on-board voltage regulator circuit optimization.
· Would be able to understand the theory and operation of RF circuits.
· Working interfaces. WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee (specifically RF4CE)
· Will be working on various analog and digital video and audio interfaces used in consumer electronic products.
