Job Description:

·         Strong background in object oriented programming techniques and design patterns

·         Dedication to lifecycle best practices, including Test Driven Development, source code management and continuous integration

·         Passion for code quality using industry best practices around logging, monitoring, unit testing and code reviews

·         Self-motivator capable of producing results with minimal direction

·         Creates software solutions using the best technology possible, and not wedded to single technologies or solutions

·         Strong team player with a natural aspiration for excellence

 

Education/Experience

·         BA/BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field

·         2+ years professional work (full-time or consulting) in Python/C development in a Linux environment, or comparable experience

 

Skills Needed:

·         Strong skills in C/Java and Python

·         Experience with SQL (MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL database systems

·         Linux scripting (Bash, Python)

·         Experience with Agile development methodology

·         General Understanding of the following (working knowledge preferred):

·         Document formats like Excel, Word, PDF, Text files

·         Web technologies HTML, DOM,

·         HTTP Web Server Apache, NGINX

·         Build systems that analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data to help automate and optimize key processes

·         Design, implement, and document core technology components

Develop custom applications using internal software frameworks
