Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Experience on Hadoop, Hive
•Data Ingestion using tools like Scoop
•Ability to program in Map Reduce, Pig
•Advance skills in Hive is a must
•Data Quality, Metadata, Data Lineage, Data Transformation, Modeling, Analysis, Reporting etc
•Background and experience in Data Operations in environments like Unix/Linux
•Candidates needs to be experienced professionals who would interact directly with the client (Global customer)
•Flexibility to work off hours to meet customer timings if required
•These candidates with work with Banking Customer
•Data Profiling, Analysis and Validation
•Metadata Management
•Understand Business rule and transformations, implement and test, certify
•Create conceptual and logical data model
•Data Ingestion to Hadoop from source system to Hadoop based systems like Hive and HBase
•Providing support to development process team
Nice to have –
•Ability to program UDFs is a strong plus
•Experience in SAS is good to have
•Knowledge of Tresata, Pentaho, Global ID's, Flume, Kafka
•Back ground in Java or Data management
•Ability to manage delivery and coordinate with offshore team
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
•Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
•Strong communicator - NY and London based customers
•Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
•Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
•Associate degree preferred
