Job Roles / Responsibilities:
• Gather requirements from business users by utilizing various methods. (e.g. conducting interviews, JAD sessions and examining file layouts, use-cases, object diagrams, sample reports, and technical specs.)
• Analyze requirements utilizing various methods. (e.g. sample data from SQL queries and reports, prototype screens, sourcing information, and other data models.)
· Transform the business requirements into business rules and validate with business users.
· Identify and define processes and data, integrating it into an enterprise perspective with standardized representation.
· Communicate model throughout the life cycle of a project, interface with business users and technology teams to build enterprise solutions.
• Create various types of models based on the requirements/business rules.
• Conduct and participate in model reviews, ensuring that models accurately reflect the business rules and policies to satisfy the business requirements.
• Sign-off and hand-off models to appropriate customers.
• Serve as a steward to guide the integration of data and process across the enterprise.
• Integrate models and ensure definitions are consistent across the enterprise for share ability and reusability.
• Perform needed research for new/on-going requirements, data integration issues, and relationships among data elements.
• Provide information needed to customers to perform data gap analysis.
• Develop load specifications.
• Identify test cases/files
• Partner with customers to perform data testing
• Coordinate deployment plans
• Participate in various roles on the Enterprise Data Council, as required. (e.g. Document, research, present, assess impact of and follow up on data council issues.)
• Participate and provide guidance/feedback in physical design reviews.
• Develop, maintain, and apply standards for enterprise modeling, including reviews, naming conventions and XML naming standards.
• Manage and catalog models and metadata for easy updates and retrieval.
