Job Description:
As part of the Surface design verification team, we are looking to hire a candidate who will be responsible for setup and execution
of system test plans, focusing on the area of system power.
The testing is broad in scope and includes electrical power supply testing, power distribution, power integrity and power consumption of Surface hardware to ensure products meet and exceed defined targets necessary for excellent customer experience.

Qualifications:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology.  BSEE or BSEET preferred.   
Minimum 5 years' experience in test, debug, rework and soldering of microelectronics.·      
Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience in electronics lab setting specifically focused on the setup and operation of test equipment for electronic circuits.
Strong familiarity with use of electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, DC electronic loads, data acquisition
equipment, etc.·      
Methodical, detail oriented lab engineer that implements accepted testing conventions to ensure quality data is collected.
Must be a motivated self-starter, able to work in a fast pace dynamic environment and must be able to work well with others.     
knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel for recording data and generating reports. 
Additional Preferred

Qualifications:      
Recent experience validating power delivery networks in embedded systems.  Validation activities including regulator verification, system power noise and load line tolerances.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of PMICs (power management IC), switch mode power supplies, low drop-out linear regulators, load-switches. 
Experience with IMVP8 verification with use of VRTT.
Fine-pitch soldering and rework skills. 
Familiarity with Thermal test equipment including thermocouple data acquisition systems, Thermal IR cameras, thermal chambers, etc.  
Strong organizational skills, both in physical space (keeping the lab clean 100% of the time) and in virtual space (data formatting/storage).
