Server Firmware Validation Engineer

 

Keywords - BMC, IPMI, Scripting TCL/TK

Hardware validation of servers and firmware validation of Server Management

Test frameworks and tools like BUGZILLA ,JIRA etc.

 

Good to have

Linux environment ,Sensors interface testing, JAVA

 

Primary Skills:

'Responsibilities:

1. Basic understanding of BMC

2. Working Knowledge of IPMI spec.

3. Experience in any IPMI Spec validation or development would be a plus.

4. Understanding of sensor functionality used in servers

5. Should be able to work in independent environment

6. Should be able to follow direction provided for test execution

7. Experience with TCL/TK coding would be a plus

8. Quick learner in fast paced working environment

9. Experience with hardware validation of servers and firmware validation of Server Management.

10. Experience with full life cycle testing from test plans and test case development to scripting, automated testing, regression testing, functional testing, system testing and test analysis. 

11. Hands-on experience with any test frameworks and any defect filing database

12. Self-driven and can demonstrate the ability to effectively multitask

 

Secondary Skills:

-     Strong C/C++ programming skills.

-       Experience in the area BMC, IPMI, Server Sensors, TCL/TK, Hardware validation & Firmware validation

 

Educational Qualifications

B-Tech, or equivalent
