Job Description:

 

What is the specific title of the position?

Dataguise Engineer

 

What Project/Projects will the candidate be working on while on assignment?

OptumCare Data Lake

 

Is this person a sole contributor or part of a team?

This person will be part of a broader OptumCare Data Lake team of about a dozen initiators leader multiple scrum teams.

 

What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position?

• Analyzing customer, business, and product needs and requirements.

• Analyzing product capabilities and defining conceptual solutions.

• Designing and documenting technical specifications.

• Developing, enhancing, and integrating product and software solutions.

• Supporting testing of product and software solutions.

• Deploying, maintaining, managing product and software solutions.

 

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?

• Deep understanding of Data Management processes and, specifically, Data Security.

• Strong working knowledge across the technology stack including ETL/ELT, data analysis, metadata, data quality, audit and design.

• Experience performing data analysis and creating documentation (e.g., source-to-target mapping, business logic).

 

What skills/attributes are a must have?

• Dataguise experience specifically including masking and de-identificaiton.

• 1+ years of experience in testing applications developed using the following technologies: HDFS, MapReduce, Pig, HBase, and Hive.

 

What skills/attributes are nice to have?

• Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or 5+ years of equivalent experience

• Java proficiency

• Unix shell scripting experience

• Experience with API-based transactions and bulk integrations

 

Where is the work to be performed?

Preferred in Mpls, Optum Circle. Raleigh will work as well

 

What are the work hours?

8-5 M-F

 

What type of interview process is preferred?

Face-to-face or phone/teleconference
