Required Professional Background:

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ETL development using known ETL tools like DataStage, Informatica, SnapLogic, etc.,

Prior good working knowledge on any one of RDBMS databases like SQL Server, Oracle and DB2

Proficiency in UNIX / Linux operating systems and bash shell scripts.

Proficiency in writing efficient ANSI standard SQL statements, creating views, stored procedures and user defined functions (UDF). 

Ability to fine tune SQL query execution plans in any one of MPP databases like Redshift, PostgreSQL and Teradata

Engage fully in debugging and correcting historical and incremental ETL data loads and develop a good recovery procedure for exceptions.

Working knowledge on System Development Life Cycle and project management methodologies like Agile/SCRUM.

Ability to understand relational database systems and its concepts.

 

Required personal background:

Independently develop and sustain required technical knowledge, certification and skills

Ability to work as a team with good communication skills

Ability to work in multiple projects and cope up with tight deadline and time constraints

Ability to freely express his/her own views and accept well known methodologies and design patterns.
