Title: Sr Business Analyst/PM

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 1 year+

 

Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for creating a project plan to fit the client's needs and deliver on desired outcomes. Has accountability for maintaining and controlling the project schedule and dashboard. Coordinates meetings, identifies the necesary resources, identifies risks and develops timelines to ensure the project is completed on time. Typically has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/education. Has gone through the development life cycle.

Candidates must be comfortable managing multiple projects. One project is a migration and another is the launch of a new product.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor degree or equivalent education/experience in Computer Science
Over 5 years of development experience in fast paced environment
2-4 years experience managing small to medium sized projects
Have mainframe experience (plus)
Have client server experience

Responsibility Level:
o Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor

Skills:
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and attention to detail
o Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals
o Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics
o Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis
o Proficiency with all MS Office applications, MS Project and/or Visio

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: 
o Develop integrated baseline project plans applying estimating models, identify resources and skills required, document estimating assumptions, refine plans and manage performance against them
o Recommend best design solutions based on understanding of business issues on as needed basis
o Provide task-based schedule and cost forecasts and assist in assessing risk-based provisions
o Capture and track program metrics and perform analysis
o Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk
o Manage project closure initiatives, such as client satisfaction survey and closure analysis
o Create business requirements for the development team on as needed basis
o Perform sanity check of the application before turning the application to the testing team
o Coordinate implementation on as needed basis
