Technical/Functional Skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance analysis and tuning role for JEE based enterprise solutions
• Extensive experience in full-stack performance monitoring and tuning
• Expert level knowledge in Apache/Jboss/Wildfly (and/or Undertow) tuning and troubleshooting
• Expert level knowledge in Apache modules (i.e. mod_jk, mod_clustering)
• Expert level knowledge in JVM/GC tuning and thread/heap dump analysis
• Expert level knowledge in open source performance testing tool (i.e. Jmeter)
• Expert level knowledge in web application architectures and serviced based architectures (i.e. SOA, Microservices)
• Hands-on experience with standard and open source based web development technologies/frameworks: Spring/HTML/CSS/Javascript/XML/Web Services
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based system administration and system level performance monitoring
• Knowledge of RDBMS and/or NoSQL technologies
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with perseverance to solve complex performance issues quickly
• Self-motivated individual who is passionate about performance to make a difference
Roles & Responsibilities
• Design and develop automated load tests to verify that web applications and systems under test meet/exceed expected SLA's
• Design, implement, execute, and analyze performance and load tests for services and web applications using open-source tools (e.g. JMeter).
• Install/Configure/Tune Apache and WebLogic clusters to drive optimal performance for the application
• Performance analysis of production data for ongoing assessment and tuning of performance test approach.
• Troubleshoot application performance issues and perform 'deep-dive' end to end analysis to identify the root cause
• Responsible for performance modeling, benchmarking, capacity planning and infrastructure optimization for multiple applications/services
• Educate teams on performance analysis, troubleshooting techniques and the science of performance testing.
• Ability to manage multiple performance analysis and application profiling projects.
