Oracle DBA

Location: Dunwoody , GA

Duration : 6 Months

 

Principal Consultant Oracle Core RAC DBA:

 

This position will be responsible for Leading Oracle RAC database Administration / architecture, in addition to support for production Oracle Databases and required subsystems including ongoing technical support and ensuring the integrity of the environment. This position will require interacting Onsite customers including application development teams to design & implement database environment.

Responsibilities:

 

SME level [6-8 years of Experience] of understanding on Oracle RAC Database Administration & Architecture [Oracle 10g and 11g]

Managing large scale Oracle deployments in term of DB size and number of servers

Performance & Troubleshooting Tools & Techniques such as OEM Grid Control Tuning Advisor I3 / AWR / Statspack TKPROF, Sql Trace, Trace Events Locks, Blocking Sessions, Waits & Latches

Thorough Understanding of Database Initialization Parameters, CBO & impact on Performance & Availability

Ability to identify bad SQL & Optimize them

Strong Ability to interpret Explain Plan, Indexes & usage Good understanding of Operating systems such as Unix & Windows & ability to drill down & troubleshoot database performance issues associated with

Managing large scale Oracle deployments in term of DB size and number of servers

Understanding Oracle storage options for data (ASM)

Desired skills on Exadata environment
