Hi,

 

Our Client is looking for:

BI Data Engineer

Menlo Park, CA

6 + Month Contract   

Required Experience:

DBMS development experience in: 

• Oracle, MySQL
  

ETL development experience on Informatica (preferred) and on at least one of the following: 

• Ascential, Ab Initio, SSIS, Datastage 
  

Scripting in the following languages: 

• Oracle PL/SQL (preferred), Perl, Unix shell, Python
  

Some experience in the following would be ideal:

• NoSQL solutions in at least one of the following: Hadoop, PIG, Hive, Cassandra 
  

Reporting/BI Tool experience in one of the following: 

• Tableau, OBIEE, MicroStrategy
  

• Deep mastery of data integration/data warehousing including ETL, data modeling, and reporting/OLAP 
  
• At least 8 years of experience in end to end data integration/data warehousing implementations and at least 3 projects with large data volumes. The ideal candidate would have experience in managing several terabytes of data per day 
  
• Experience building data driven customer facing offerings including but not limited to data visualization solutions, reporting, notification services, alerts, data driven workflow solutions etc. 
  
• Working experience at least one modern programming / scripting like C/C++, JAVA, Python, Ruby, etc.
  
• B.S. degree in CS / EE. Higher level degree is a plus
  

2 professional references of the Reporting Manager from latest projects highly preferred.
