Qualifications:
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills
- Hands-on experience with the core Hadoop projects: Hive, Pig, HCatalog, MapReduce, HDFS, Mahout, Sqoop, Flume, Oozie
- Experience with logical HDFS design (folders, sub-folders, B)
- Experience with logical security design (authentication, access control)
- Direct experience with multiple Hadoop distributions
- Strong experience architecting, designing and/or developing big data applications using Hadoop.
- Strong understanding of Hadoop security concepts and implementations
- Understanding of the criteria by which you select the Hadoop components to utilize for particular use cases
- Understanding of the typical integrations between Hadoop and source systems
- Understanding of the typical integrations between Hadoop and ETL, BI, analysis, and data visualization tools
- Advanced analytic algorithms
- Text analysis
- Metadata and data lineage
- Data quality and data profiling procedures & tools
- Data modeling
- Requirements gathering and analysis
- Data virtualization tools 8. Data visualization tools, including Tableau, Endeca and/or Attivio
