Position: System Architect / Lead

Location: San Jose, CA

Type: Contract

Duration: 12+ Months

 

Role and Responsibilities:

Architect deep packet inspection (DPI) product solutions to meet evolving needs of the DPI market.

This includes helping create and define functional specifications, working with product managers, development managers and their teams to define designs that address the requirements and participating in code reviews.

Prototype solutions/algorithms as needed to help solve technical issues during development and collaborate with Platform architects to leverage other technologies and share new technologies with others.

Serves as a technical lead to detail all aspects of product design and ensures that resulting design specification fits into technical architectural framework.

Lead reviews and may direct the key architectural components of customer's product solution covering hardware, software, and general product architecture.

Perform analysis to define design requirements for modification to existing tools, utilities, system structures, environments and determines project scope.

 

Key qualifying requirements:

Overall 8 to 12 years of experience in the development of computer software, preferably in UNIX and/or Linux environments.

C and/or C++ coding skills

For this position, we need individuals with prior demonstrable deep packet inspection (DPI) technology experience, along with system architecture design.

Expert knowledge and extensive experience with network and web technologies (e.g. IP, TCP, HTTP, SSL &c).

Prior excellent coding skills.

Experience leading complex product development initiatives from concept through release
