Job Title:          Planner-Production        

Location: Auburn, WA

Duration: more than 6 months

           

                                       

 

Position Summary:  The primary function of this position will be the planning (and estimating) for the manufacture of simple to complex assemblies/tools, including raw material selection, metal working operations, secondary operations (painting, coating, and heat treatment), assembly, and final inspection.


Qualifications Required:
• Seven years estimating/planning experience in a metalworking environment
• Extensive knowledge and experience with machining, fabrication, and assembly
• Experience as a former machinist

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings in metric and imperial

• Ability to read Boeing Ground Support Equipment drawings and plans

• English as a primary language

• Must be able to work for any employer in the U.S.


Qualifications Desired:

• Previous aerospace industry experience

• MS Office familiarity, emphasis on Excel


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimations for new tools using HYDRO's predefined template

• Liaise with Purchasing Department for make/buy decisions

• Planning and releasing of work orders to Production

• Writing instructions on work orders (routing operations) which define the required steps to produce machined parts, welded assemblies.

• Successfully collaborate with Production and Purchasing

Work Environment-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to minimal noise, carpeted floor (bare in warehouse and restrooms), and normal office light levels.
