Job Description:
Position: QA Tester with HADOOP experience
Duration: 6-12 month
Location: Minnesota, MN
Visa's: EAD/OPT, EAD/GC OR USC
NEED A LOCAL CANDIDATES
Responsibilities:
•3+ years translating use cases and requirements into functional test cases
•3+ years developing and executing manual tests and automated test scripts for back end software components
•2+ years leading quality testing project teams
•1+ years performing automated and manual testing for front end user interfaces
•1+ years conducting non-functional performance and scale testing against back end software components
•1+ years testing experience using the following technologies: Python, Selenium Webdriver, Polymer Web Application using Web-Component-Tester, Hadoop, HBASE, HDFS, Kafka, Gradle, GIT, Jenkins
•1+ years testing JavaScript based web applications with Mocha or Karma
•Proven project leadership abilities
•Proactive and collaborative approach to completing work
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Innovative and inquisitive
•Self-directed
Primary Job Duties
•Plan, integrate, script, and execute all testing required of a single software change or project
•Collaborate with project team in developing and maintaining test plans, test environments, test cases, and test scripts
•Evaluate, recommend, and implement appropriate testing tools
•Conduct testing using company-specific, manual, or automated processes
•Execute test scripts/cases and communicate the results
•Prepare and maintain test case documentation
•Diagnose and resolve technical and operational problems of testing environment(s)
•Document all problems and work to resolve them
•Report progress on problem resolution to management
•Implement pre-determined improvements to current procedures and report on success of changes
•Integrate test automation for nightly builds using Gradle, GIT, and Jenkins
